The Available Work section shows work currently available. It is divided into four sections - unique sculpture are works which are hand made by the artisit. These are each one off pieces. \editioned sculpture are pieces which originate from a unique sculpture but are fabricated in flat steel or bronze panel and are in fine art signed and numbered limited editions. Although David Begbie's primary focus is on his sculpture, he also produces a small number of works on paper. This section therefore includes unique drawings, limited edition etchings, photographs and monprints and collages. Finally we have a retrospective section which focuses on older works, some of which the gallery is handling as a resale on behalf of clients.
Click on a thumbnail of a work to open three further images and all the information pertaining to the piece. You can access the dimensions in either centimetres or inches, and the price in pounds, US Dollars or Euros. The price in pounds and Euros includes vat (value added tax) at 17.5%. The dollar price is exclusive of vat. Vat is not chargeable provided the piece is exported out of the European Union within 3 months of purchase. Exchange rates in recent times have been quite volatile. We try not to change the rate everytime there is a change - only when this change is significant. We us a mid exchange rate, so the price given by your bank or credit card company may differ.
Many of the works images can be enlarged. Hover your mouse over the image and click to open a larger image in a new window. This is already formatted to print out with all the details. David's editioned sculptures which are made from thin flat sheets of metal have such a convincing three dimensional quality to them, that we have now provided video clips just to prove that they really are flat! Give the clip a few seconds to download and prepare to be amazed.
Gallery Different collaborates with galleries and dealers all over the world to put on shows of David's work. If you do not see what you want in our available work section, please use our enquiry form to tell us what you want - the very piece may well be in a gallery near you!
To make your contact with us more personal, there is a private viewing section which will enable you to add favourite works or pieces you are currently considering to your personal gallery. This page will also give you advance notice of gallery events with the facility of rsvp from the website, and will give you first opportunity to purchase limited edtion prints. If you have already expressed a preference for a particular piece, or have made an enquiry we will be able to put the image onto your gallery page for a preview and if it is a new piece, a chance to view prior to the work being exhibited or posted onto the available work section. You can also register to receive our newsletter either by email or post. To take advantage of this simply click to register and complete the short form. Your login will be your email address and a password of your choice.
David Begbie has been a professional artist for over 25 years and in that time has produced a wide body of work, some of which is in important private public and corporate collections. As well as showing work currently available for purchase we will be gradually adding images and information to the Archive of his works
