‘FOOTPRINT’ 2019

‘FOOTPRINT’ 2019
The first step on the moon, sculpture, stainless steel
Freestanding or suspended, dimensions 73 x 56 cm

The combination of photography and steel panel proves to be able to realise extraordinary results - my recently commissioned sculptures ’SPACEMAN’, ’NEIL ARMSTRONG’ and ’FOOTPRINT’ celebrate the 50th anniversary of the most famous footprint "in the world" from Neil Armstrong - which is on the moon!

Many thanks to Jan Pulsford for the superb music featuring in my videos!

My sculptures have no palpable substance or surface. At first glance they appear to be a metallic membrane but when you take a closer look they are not even a skin - they are instead a delineation of surface and form, modelled and drawn in three-dimensional space.
